Health Equity Zoom Series: Addressing Disparities with Adapted Evidence-Based Interventions

In this installment of our quarterly Zoom series hosted by CCCNP member the National Cancer Institute, we will focus on adapting evidence-based interventions to better match the contexts and needs of communities experiencing health disparities. Moderator Prajakta Adsul from the University of New Mexico will briefly explain how implementation science can help practitioners adapt interventions. Then we will hear examples of adapted interventions for e-cigarette prevention among Latinx youth, colorectal cancer screening for low-income Texans, and mammography for Tribal community members from presenters from the University of California Los Angeles, Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District, and Fond du Lac Human Services Division. Audience sharing and questions are encouraged! View recordings of previous sessions here.
