The Comprehensive Cancer Control National Partnership is sponsoring a workshop for CDC-funded National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (NCCCP) directors and their coalition leaders, as part of the CDC Cancer Conference in August 2017. The Sustaining Effective Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalitions Workshop will take place on Friday August 18 from 8am – 3pm at the CDC Cancer Conference hotel, the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia Hotel. Participants will include one program director and one CCC coalition leader from each state, tribe/tribal organization and territory or Pacific Island Jurisdiction that is funded by CDC for the NCCCP. In addition, representatives of the CCC National Partnership member organizations will attend.
This is an excellent opportunity to network with other CCC coalitions to share ideas and hear about innovative ways of sustaining successful CCC coalitions. Registration for the workshop is free and can be made through the CDC Cancer Conference registration process. To register, click here or on the button below. CDC NCCCP grantees have set aside funding to support coalition leadership participation in the workshop. For questions about the workshop, please contact the CCC National Partnership at CCCNationalPartnership@cancer.org.
In addition to the workshop on August 18, the Comprehensive Cancer Control National Partnership will host a meeting of CCC Coalition leadership on Wednesday August 16 from 2-4pm at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia Hotel, room Maplewood A&B. This is an opportunity for CCC Coalition leaders to share challenges and solutions and talk with the National Partnership about technical assistance needs.
